How to Install Oracle 10gR4 ASM Patch
- Login with VNC Viewer to Node 1 as Oracle User
- Change directory to ASM 10.2.0.4 Patch Software Location
- Launch OUI ASM Patch Installer GUI
- > ./runInstaller
- At the ASM Welcome Screen click Next
- At the ASM Patch Specify Home Details screen, change to the ASM Location and click Next
- At the Specify Hardware Cluster Installation Mode screen, verify that all nodes are shown and then click Next
- At the ASM Product-Specific Prerequisite Checks screen, make sure the Overall Result is Passed Then click Next to continue.
- At the ASM-Patch Oracle Configuration Manager Registration screen, click Next to continue.
- At the ASM-Patch Summary screen, click Next to continue.

- At the ASM Patch Configuration Warning click Yes to continue. You will be prompted a 2nd time with the Warning, Click Yes to continue again.
- At the Execute Configuration Scripts screen, run the scripts as requested on all nodes, then click OK to continue.

The following environment variables are set as:
ORACLE_OWNER= oracle
ORACLE_HOME= /u00/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/ASM

Entries will be added to the /etc/oratab file as needed by
Database Configuration Assistant when a database is created
Finished running generic part of root.sh script.
Now product-specific root actions will be performed. - At the End of Installation screen, Click Exit then click Yes to complete.
