How to Install Oracle 10gR4 ASM Patch 

1. Login with VNC Viewer to Node 1 as Oracle User
2. Change directory to ASM 10.2.0.4 Patch Software Location
3. Launch OUI ASM Patch Installer GUI
• > ./runInstaller
4. At the ASM Welcome Screen click Next
5. At the ASM Patch Specify Home Details screen, change to the ASM Location and click Next
   
6. At the Specify Hardware Cluster Installation Mode screen, verify that all nodes are shown and then click Next
   
7. At the ASM Product-Specific Prerequisite Checks screen, make sure the Overall Result is Passed Then click Next to continue.
   
8. At the ASM-Patch Oracle Configuration Manager Registration screen, click Next to continue.
   
9. At the ASM-Patch Summary screen, click Next to continue.
   
10. ASM Patch Install Progress
    
11. At the ASM Patch Configuration Warning click Yes to continue. You will be prompted a 2nd time with the Warning, Click Yes to continue again.
    
12. At the Execute Configuration Scripts screen, run the scripts as requested on all nodes, then click OK to continue.
    
    
    
    [root@srv0dbxd11 ~]# /u00/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/ASM/root.sh
    Running Oracle10 root.sh script...
    The following environment variables are set as:
        ORACLE_OWNER= oracle
        ORACLE_HOME=  /u00/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/ASM
    Enter the full pathname of the local bin directory: [/usr/local/bin]:
    The file "dbhome" already exists in /usr/local/bin.  Overwrite it? (y/n)
    [n]: y
       Copying dbhome to /usr/local/bin ...
    The file "oraenv" already exists in /usr/local/bin.  Overwrite it? (y/n)
    [n]: y
       Copying oraenv to /usr/local/bin ...
    The file "coraenv" already exists in /usr/local/bin.  Overwrite it? (y/n)
    [n]: y
       Copying coraenv to /usr/local/bin ...
    Entries will be added to the /etc/oratab file as needed by
    Database Configuration Assistant when a database is created
    Finished running generic part of root.sh script.
    Now product-specific root actions will be performed.
13. At the End of Installation screen, Click Exit then click Yes to complete.
