Will the Software Defined Data Center Buzz Last

One of the newer IT terms is SDDC or the Software Defined Data Center. Again, in the world of IT terms like these become the latest fads and buzz words and sometimes are here today and gone tomorrow.

however, I think the SDDC may actually persist along with Cloud technology and IaaS. Simply because SDDC really started because of Amazon AWS and their push of cloud services.

As well Red Hat clearly has defined that OpenShift and IaaS is a large part of their future direction.  OpenStack is most positioned to move the SDDC buzz into common place.

I believe that OpenStack will continue to drive cloud standards and OpenShift from Red Hat will be a leader along with Amazon in the SDDC space.
