Red Hat officially released an upgrade to Satellite from 5.5. Red Hat Satellite 5.6 is now available for those with subscriptions. Some of the new features include better subscription management. The embedded database is now Postgres and you can use an external Postgres.

This is the upgrade component to the Red Hat Satellite 5.6.0 General
Availability release.
Description:
Red Hat Satellite provides a solution to organizations requiring absolute
control over and privacy of the maintenance and package deployment of their
servers. It allows organizations to utilize the benefits of Red Hat Network
(RHN) without having to provide public Internet access to their servers or other
client systems. Red Hat Satellite 5.6.0 may be upgraded from earlier releases.

* Upgrading the Red Hat Satellite to version 5.6 and upgrading the underlying
