Linux Guide for New Users
Information about the Linux Guide for New Users
This page will have section pages with links dedicated to new users of Linux to help them get started.
- This is a list of Linux resources to help the newbie or someone unfamiliar with Linux get started.
Where To Start?Strongly suggest setting up Red Hat, CentOS or Scientfic Linux in a VM or VirtualBox on your laptop or workstation to practice on. Setup some time with me to help get you started if need be.
1st thing, get comfortable using vi to edit files, I cannot stress this enough. Practice moving around on the command line and get used to the filesystem layout.
